1. To convert the heathen savages to the right religion of Christianity.
We will expand the kingdom of God by educating the savages, and prevent them from worshiping devils. In so doing, we also prevent the influence of the Spaniard's religion.
2. To expand the kingdom and riches of King James.
As Englishmen with proper pride of King and Country, we can do no less.
3. To endow Englishmen with land and riches.
In the New World, every Englishmen may become Lord of his own domain, given the proper hard work and time.
4. To defend our country against an invasion of Spaniards.
With control of the New World's resources, the Spaniards would easily overrun us.
